Both were good, but my fave had to be the one with mushrooms. We even ended up getting a bag of their coffee beans. Then came the breakfast plate - looked so appetizing! Good and biggest plus is the service and hostesses! We enjoyed chicken steak with lentils and rice and a...lamb kebab- the flavours were amazing, the cocktails made with fresh juice. Kept me going for our whole day adventure. Smooth, a tad sweet and a tad chocolately. Lacks taste if you compare to neighbouring Goocha. It could've used a bit more seasoning. Coffee was beautifully balanced, the chicken pasta bursting with flavor and the bagel and lemon curb a classic favorite. But then again, it does come heated and buttered, and it tastes amazing, so the pros outweigh the cons. I used to make the chicken baps a regular of my Saturday lunches as they were just so delish and I could never quite figure out what was actually in them, so could never try to cheat and make them at home.More recently I've been to Dizengoff for a coffee with friends. This was our second time here, and both times, we really enjoyed our experience. Served with fresh pita, chopped salad and pickles. Dizengoff is no secret; it is always packed to the brim. The staff seem kind of standoff-ish, and when it's busy you feel like you're in their way. That aside, the coffee at Dizengoff is also some of the best on Ponsonby Road. Next time I would skip on the complimentary basil pesto they offered on my custom order - which tasted like vinegar and cilantro rather than basil and pinenuts. It comes accompanied by a basket of bread to mop everything up with.My other must-try dish is the feta salad, a most glorious looking tower of grilled capsicum, eggplant and slats of feta. Serves four guests. Their food was great; as a bacon lover I survived, came out unscathed and my french toast was still tasty. If you do you'll be in for an excellent spot of people watching along with good food/coffee. I really recommend this restaurant. Perfect strength, never too milky - they serve a guaranteed good cup every time. The service was efficient and friendly, with a delicious and healthy menu, that is suitable for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. My hot chocolate was just okay and overall underwhelming. Dizengoff is a popular cafe on the main strip of Ponsonby Road. There is seating inside and out, I prefer the atmosphere inside personally. My first trip to Dizengoff didn't disappoint, although it didn't surprise me either. Thanks guys, you have given us many happy memories over the past and continue with that today. Dizengoff is no secret; it is always packed to the brim.
