This saw's only virtue is that it's cheap. It includes a built-in hook for hanging your saw from framing members, and a rafter-angle guide printed on the motor housing. Steel shoes are common on less expensive saws, and they have a few downsides. Its small 5-1/2 size makes it easier to handle tough jobs.

This is normal, however on this saw you have to slightly flex the blade to get it under the blade guard and then actually force it the rest of the way up until the center hole drops onto the spindle. Black & Decker CS1015 15-Amp 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw. You have to have it supported property, which means a good work bench, bricks what ever you have.
I bought this on a whim to try out since I had two Black and Decker 20v batteries from another purchase. Only grumble was the vacuum cleaner didn’t fit on the exhaust aperture so couldn’t clean as I used it. The standard blades has held up well cutting a variety of treated lumber (2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 4x4, 1x5, and more) over the course of building a 10x14' deck, resurfacing a 3x20' walkway, and building a 6' bench. Great buy for light to medium duty projects. After reading other reviews, I am hesitant to go after thick material.

Small, light-weight, but durable for just about any small to medium woodworking projects one might be considering. It limits the availability of blades available for this saw being only 16mm .
We like this feature. This saw is comfortable to hold and cuts well. With one exception, the saws all have 15-amp motors and spin at 5,200 to 6,200 rpm. Don't stop in the middle of the board and restart it.

Cutting treated 2x4's today. If you're not an experienced carpenter, you may find this feature helpful. Saw operated and performed exceptionally. Overview. I bought the less expensive one. WordPress theme by Acabado Themes. I didn't expect much power but it is OK for what it is if you let it cut buildup speed before begin going a cut and don't try to force it. The engine and battery power may not be enough for some jobs. I like to rough cut my sheet goods into more managable size pieces with a circular saw before final cutting to size on the table saw or band saw. The Black & Decker, DeWalt, Kobalt, Makita, Ridgid, Ryobi and Skil saws have wrenches or Allen wrenches stored on the saw or attached to the cord. The ideal person for this tool might not be someone who does lots of construction work, but someone like that who is left-handed due to blade on the left. We highly recommend this saw for its comfortable feel and smooth-running motor. This tool comes with a 2-year warranty.
The saw has other nice features such as a hight gauge etched on the blade guard so you can set the depth of cut to the approximate depth needed.
They're very comfortable to use and add a quality feel to the saw.
