It’s no surprise that Forbidden Journey is one of the most popular rides in all of Islands of Adventure and arguably one of the best rides in any Orlando theme park. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a simulator, mixed with real life elements, and very advanced technology! Note that the vehicles may not accommodate heavier guests with certain body types. With no password needed, you’re soon inside the office and being addressed by the man himself. Everyone is pretty much experiencing life through their devices as the coronavirus outbreak persists. It's a slightly incongruous note in an otherwise enchanted pre-ride experience. Potter fans will appreciate a lot of the details, but even those who haven’t read the books or seen the movies can marvel at the complete immersion Forbidden Journey provides. Hey! Update: Of course, as Mac and Diana have pointed out in the comments below, the “expulsion from the park” line may only be a tongue-in-cheek reference to the signs posted around Hogwarts by Dolores Umbridge in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.” It’s still possible that even if it is meant as parody, Universal may not be entirely kidding. Because some passengers were reportedly experiencing motion sickness, the Hollywood park removed the 3D and reverted to a 2D version of the media. But if your stomach can take the ride, it’s one of best you’ll find. Everything in this ride is done to perfection.
