With Twitter, I feel like they’re forcing a round peg into a square hole. It’s fine for now. This change means that brands need to give more thought to their image strategy on Twitter – perhaps this could become a bit of a shop window for products? If you can get someone to imagine a better future by following you on Twitter then do so. Twitter lingo can be confusing for those new to Twitter.

Furthermore, it might present the problem of “brand over kill” and drown out the thing that is really most important for Twitter – your actual tweets! We all know that social media rewards authenticity and relationships over obnoxious sales pitches.
