Take the ferry to Anacortes and peruse through a thriving main drag, filled with murals, beach parks, and incredible seafood restaurants. The sunrise/sunsets were amazing!
In reality, it is located above the main housekeeping/laundry service area, which meant the downstairs doors were slamming repeatedly all day long as staff entered and exited. the staff was resourceful, kind and professional, the location was unbelievable, and the cabins were exquisite. Single Family Home with 2 levels4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 3100 square feet, King, King, King, and Queen8 guests maximum, Bellingham International Airport (BLI), Seattle-Tacoma International Airpot (SEA), then Guemes Island Ferry1 hour and 25 minutes by car and ferry (BLI), 2.5 hours by car and ferry (SEA). The island itself is perfectly situated. A short stroll along a lovely wooded path will find you at the waters edge where the views are only surpassed by the serenity and majesty of the Puget sound and all of its denizens.
This was our first time and we already look forward to returning to this island retreat. Guemes Island has miles of beaches to walk and enjoy. We, the staff, do access the lower level of the Salish House for various work-related needs during the day. There are no 2 bedroom homes for sale in this area.
we walked up and down the beach every morning, saw a pod of orca whales, skipped stones, and looked for rare agates. Use filters to narrow your search by price, square feet, beds, and baths to find homes that fit your criteria.
Out of the total population, 36.1% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line. Walking on the beach from where you disembark from the Guemes Island Ferry is a short third of a mile. Our cabin was exceptional: comfortable, killer views, styli with a hot tub and steam shower... nice!They even dialed in some crabbing and a pod of orca to round out the experience. 8/24/2018. Plus, it's a 5-minute ferry ride to Guemes.

As always the management was extremely friendly and helpful. Search for new homes, open houses, recently sold homes and reduced price real estate in Guemes Island. 8.1% of the population was below the poverty line. The Peach Preserve on Guemes Island is a peaceful place to hike and enjoy the beauty of Guemes Island. There is a sports court available for your use on the property, with a tennis net and a basketball hoop. Around 1873, the Samish, displaced due to government decisions, established a new village on Guemes, near Potlatch Beach. We are a family-oriented and dog-friendly establishment.
Guemes Island has a rural character with limited facilities. Thank you, and we do hope to see you again sometime.

Some of the island’s beaches are public but most beaches access is private.
