Everyone enrolled in the Challenge is invited to participate in a Facebook group to share photos, experiences and words of encouragement to others. Aid Station 3 – Hopewell Parking Lot (Twin Creek MetroPark) – you’ll pass this aid station twice along the route, once at 12.1 miles and again at 14.4 miles. Sunset is at 8:30 PM, and dark is at 9 PM. The Twin Valley Trail is marked with an icon of a hiker.

The 2020 Twin Valley Trail Challenge has been cancelled due to safety concerns around COVID-19. Canoeing? Along the hiking routes we will have snack and water stations. Compete only against yourself. Expect a variety of terrain, including steep hills, open meadows, wooded footpaths and mud.

The new MetroParks Trails Challenge is a fun way to explore them. ), Metroparks Membership (new or renew) = 50 points, Reward for level completed (prizes to be determined), Entry into private Trail Challenge Facebook group. No problem! You can hike, bike, rollerblade, paddle, run, or walk any of the trails in any chosen activity. The campsites have plenty of flat areas for tents.

Blank registration forms will also be available at the Registration Area. Check in at the start of your hike. Some of the trails in the challenge are segments of larger trails.

You’ll pass by here twice along the route, once at 5.7 miles and again at 19 miles.

Join the trail Challenge! Chances are, you’re only minutes from a Metropark. There are no showers available on site. Comfortable shoes.

You can participate by completing just one trail.

But, don’t worry; if you don’t make it as far as you plan, there are multiple locations for shuttle pickup along the way. These are places that are meant for enjoyment. If not please call for a shuttle to avoid having to hike in the dark or if overly fatigued.
The parks and trails officially close at 10 PM. This event is FREE and open to the public thanks to our generous sponsors and donors. We will have marked routes where you can hike from 1 to 27.5 miles all on the Twin Valley […] There will be additional signs for this event to help keep you on the correct trails. In his first 15 days of the Trail Challenge, Mike logged 122 miles, so his goal of 150 miles in 30 days is well within sight. If you are planning to hike more than 20 miles, you must register by 10 AM. Join us after your hike for a cookout starting at 2 PM. Every Metropark is different, and promises singular experiences and one-of-a-kind, natural attributes. Metro Parks features 19 outstanding natural area parks with more than 230 miles of trails and over 27,700 acres of land in seven Central Ohio counties. There is no charge for camping, but you must register. Five Rivers MetroParks has launched its new MetroParks Trail challenge in which hikers, bikers, paddlers and runners can win prizes for completing trails.

You will receive trail maps and an info sheet with routes, helpful information and the number to call for the shuttle. 12-Mile: (12.1 miles) This route follows the TVT from Germantown to Twin Creek along the full TVT Challenge route and ends at Aid Station 3 at the Hopewell parking lot where you can catch a shuttle back to the Welcome Center. Download, complete and sign this registration form. If you are newer to hiking, we encourage you to try one of the shorter route options.
