• Scouts are expected to wear full Class A field uniform unless directed otherwise by their Merit Badge course counselor. The Merit Badge University helps Boy Scouts advance and learn about different fields of knowledge by publishing the Merit Badge Clinic Calendar and by teaching high quality Boy Scout merit badges, merit badge work is the key to every Eagle Scout. • Scouts will be able to print a “blue card” indicating their progress, from the Tentaroo registration system, within one week after the event.

By serving as a merit badge counselor, you offer your time, knowledge, and other resources so that Scouts can explore a topic of interest. Some merit badges can be fully earned at this MBU; other merit badges will be partially completed and the individualized blue card will list the completed requirements. Merit Badge University is a quality Merit Badge program that helps Scouts learn about different fields of knowledge. And all of us in Scouting did our best during this crisis. Details will be posted here as they become available. Once you drop off your Scouts in lot P22, check-in is down the hill in the AstroTurf field in front of the S. Walter Kelly Sr. Memorial Field (next to the gym but not visible from the street). Repeat step 1 for additional participants. Scouts are expected to participate fully during the class and to personally complete each requirement (as specified in the Guide to Advancement section 7.0.3.2) in order to receive full credit for the requirements completed. But the key point is safety of our scouts and families, is foremost in this decision. Merit Badge University (MBU) is a bi-annual event hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council that gives Scouts, ages 11-17 the opportunity to earn merit badges ranging from recreational activities like photography and horsemanship to Eagle Scout required merit badges like communications and sustainability.
Please note MBU is at the KSU Marietta campus, not the main Kennesaw campus. • All Scouts must be dropped off and picked up at the parking lot near the Gymnasium(P22).
We are offering these classes at a small charge of $5! The registration fee is $7.50 for the first class and $5 for each additional class when registering at the same time.
