Elmore Leonard wrote more than forty books during his long career, including the bestsellers Raylan, Tishomingo Blues, Be Cool, Get Shorty, and Rum Punch, as well as the acclaimed collection When the Women Come Out to Dance, which was a New York Times Notable Book. The highlight for many will be the Raylan Givens story "Fire in the Hole." Leonard’s narratives are character-driven but his characters aren’t generally very sympathetic. Marshal Raylan Givens meets up with an old friend, but they’re now on different sides of the law.

While it's arguable if the book is better here, Timothy Olyphant and the characters from the show are who I visualized in the book, which made it that much more exciting.
